Voices on Contemporary Craft and Design

Objectspace has a 12 year history of producing books and publishing critical writing, which contribute to, and celebrate, new voices and perspectives in the fields of craft, applied art and design in New Zealand. 

In this session presenters will each read a piece of writing from the fields of craft, applied art and design, followed by a discussion of why it is significant to them. 

Speakers include Philip Clarke, former Objectspace Director and current Blumhardt Foundation trustee, Mary Curtis, jeweller and senior lecturer at Manukau Institute of Technology, Kolokesa Mahina-Tuai, co-author and co-curator of Nimamea'a and current Associate Curator Pacific at Auckland Museum, and Doris de Pont, Director and Founder of the New Zealand Fashion Museum.
