The Talisman Project: Roger Kelly and Mia Straka in conversation with Karl Chitham

The Talisman Project is an ongoing collaboration between jeweller Mia Straka and designer Roger Kelly that spans art forms and media in a discussion of values and inter-connectivity. By addressing issues of scale, functionality and the relationship between body and object, the works creates an interactive, sensory experience for the audience. The installation occupies and responds to two exhibition spaces, the Main Gallery and Vault, enabling visitors to engage with the works as part of a collective experience. The Talisman Project aims to broaden and challenge the audiences for craft and design, jewellery and furniture while facilitating a dialogue between audience and artists in an exchange of ideas around value, meaning, and function.
