Objectspace seeks a Curator

Objectspace is a small dedicated public gallery with a national and international profile. Objectspace aims to position making - principally in the fields of craft, applied arts and design - within a range of cultural, economic and social frameworks in order to provoke new assessments through exhibition presentation, public programmes and publishing.

Objectspace is recruiting for a part-time position, the Objectspace Curator, to join its small team. The position is currently a 0.4FTE, including each Saturday. This is initially a fixed term contract position until the end of 2015 when Objectspace is hoping it will be able increase the scale of the position.  The Objectspace Curator will be working as a part of a small team of staff and board members, and will report to the Director and work alongside the Programme Manager. Key accountabilities include:

·         Exhibition curation, design and writing

·         Critical writing for online and hardcopy publications

·         Updating Objectspace website and social media profile

·         Managing Objectspace on Saturdays and weekend public
          programme events
