Matariki Jewellery Making at Objectspace

Event / 11 June 2016

11am – 3pm

Join the Jewellers Guild of Greater Sandringham as Objectspace celebrates Matariki with jewellery. Weave a whetu star and make a pin or hairclip to take home, suitable for adults and kids over 10. Under 10’s can make a Matariki star badge and have it pressed ready to wear home. We’ll also have hot milo and biscuits to warm up and welcome in the Māori  new year.

This event is being hosted by the Jewellers Guild or Greater Sandringham. The whetu pattern we are using is called "Nga Whatu Piataata: Stars in my Eyes" and was originally hosted by Dr Areta Wilkinson.

$5 koha per craft, all ages welcome, children must be supervised by an adult.
